Firstly just want to address the Crown issue as far as i am aware it takes 5 winners to win the cup match, any other views other to that should be written and sent to the the committee for appeal. Secondly what a great night at the comp B/H,good game and even better crack with the lads. A real good team imo, micky, paddy, pickle, both mansells, all morrises and captain perks good team. They even have a real sound cheerleader/taxi driver/raffle seller/drinks carrier in thatch who occasionally plays now and again i am told. So i look ahead to the big 1 next week dust my team down and get them going again for the main event against Red Castle. However I believe the game is much bigger for the Red castle considering regardless of there result last night they will start monday night below us, with all Arnie's comments still fresh in our minds that must add the pressure on for them? ? Arnie you can cancel your holiday bring your secret weapons we don't care its GAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am with wallie on this one surely if no 5 games won no win perhaps to be played again when both teams have full teams.

Hearing that the Crown had been disqualified from the cup the other night, I was a bit taken aback. Having nothing official yet I’m only presuming this to be the case.
To what I understand to be the reason – Having only six players turn up on the night and our opponents, The Brooklands, turning up with seven. We went on to win 4-3. Both captains were happy with result and a good night had by all.
Now because we didn’t write someone’s name down on the card who wasn’t there to make the result 5-3. We are being penalised for being honest.
Really do feel the committee has a chance to shine here. The leagues are having enough problems fielding teams, with teams dropping out all the time. Penalising a team who supports the league, entering players in all competitions for being honest!
Really hope common sense prevails and the committee overturn this ruling.

Hey everyone read through your debate n very interesting. I am new to the league set up compared to most of you so please excuse me if i have it wrong. but im not sure if I'd heard if the home team can't fulfil the scorecard with 9 players ( or enough to win the fixture) then the result would b handed to the away team???. Not sure if correct just something I may have heard. Hope the right outcome prevails :-)

No polly i dont have any information regarding the situation i was just going by the president set last year on judging the outcome. I dont have a personal opinion either way i can see both sides the arguement. Just thought the original post suggesting it is something personal was a bit childish.
Truth be known its interesting to see many different views keep it coming the website needs it.

Lets be fair to the committee, I don't think an official decision has been made, so lets wait for them to meet and decide on the outcome.
Echo Wallie it's nice to see the forum used for a debate even if you don't agree with it. Its healthy for the league as it was getting a bit stale on here.
Where's Scooter? he'll liven things up!
