SDO Shrewsbury Doubles The 18th Severn Darts Organisation Tournament, we had players from Coventry, Stafford and Bristol. We even had 4 from Baschurch! (Thats for you Ed). In the final its was Matt Elsey and Gordon Booth against Adam and Mick Smith-Neale from Coventry. Adam plays on the PDC tour and is higher ranked than two time world champion Ted Hankey. But it was the dream team from Shrewsbury who prevailed in the final, winning 3-0. Elsey (SDDL Singles champ) and Booth (PREMIER League champ) were always in control and it was Booth who hit double top to claim his first major SDO title with Elsey winning his third. In the Consolation Alan Stubbs and Paul Andrew beat Neil Griffiths and Tony Middleton 3-1 in a high quality game. In the Plate final Lee Davies and Kev Rogers claimed the Darren Lane Plate. Great day of darts, superb company. Next Tournament on Sunday 18th November at HSC. PS. I really do believe the standard of our 501 game has improved dramatically over the last few years? ?
