Stars 7 - 1 Darwin
Great result for the Stars in our opening game with some very solid performances (mine not being one of them despite winning 2-1). There were wins for the two debutantes norge and Alex, with solid games from gaz & jay also. It was a shame that the Darwin had to give us the last two games due to lack of players especially in the first game of the season.
Good night all round though with some good banter between teams as usual

Sorry, I've not got back into the swing of things yet!
Week #1 Royal Oak 5 v 3 Hare & Hounds - maybe it was because the England game was a distraction, but let's say the markers were no threat to the Rachel Riley or Carol Vauderman ;-)
Week #2 Cup Hare & Hounds 8 v 1 Masonic C (Masonic only had 7 players, but were a good bunch)

Hounds 4 - 4 Bull Butchers Row An enjoyable evening against a good bunch of lads & lasses. A fair result that could have gone either way.

Woodman 'A' 4 - 4 Stars
Disappointing evening in the end as we had chances to win the game outright throughout the match with double trouble costing us dear in the end!
Nip and tuck all night (thanks to the missed chances) but a good competitive match with some quality banter throughout, finished off with some top notch food (cottage pie) at the end.

Stars 3 - 5 New Inn
Another disappointing evening for the Stars with missed doubles costing us dear! Don't seem to have clicked into gear yet but all credit to the New Inn lads (& lass) they played well and took their chances.
A good standard of darts through the night (apart from some of our finishing) and good fun as always with the New Inn team.

Stars 5-3 cressage club Wins a win, but again were struggling to finish games off... But also this week we had a couple of games where we couldn't start.... But one high light was when southernstars did start he finished in 9 darts with a nice 116 out (shame about the 20+ to start :-) ) Shame that so early on in the season that teams aren't having enough players for away games, cressage gave us 2 games as did the Darwin in the 1st game... And what's happened to the forum? No one seems to put posts up anymore ??.

Belvidere 5-3 stars I think a draw would have been a fair result, but yet again doubles let us down.... Most of the games could have gone either way..but that's the way it goes.. So far it's not the season I was hopping it to be.... Need to pull our fingers out ASAP

Woodman A 5-3 Hounds very enjoyable evening even if the result went against us. One or two games could have gone either way but overall probably a fair result.
