Stu reckons that Steve Beaton once tried to chat up his mum. I want to know the truth.

As many of you will know Steve Beaton was in Baschurch last night. So the scene was set as Stayin Alive was blasted out of the Duncan pub and out came The Bronzed Adonis no not Dave Beesty but the man himself. The matches started as Ed Jones was the first one to the oche,Ed give a good account of himself but Adonis showed he was not going to be messing about as one by one of the Duncan lads and lasses fell by the way side. The games were of 701 but Beaton was polishing players in about 4-5mins and leaving players with about 300-400 left. The first player to give him a tough game was Andy Morris from the Wheatsheaf who got to within 55 before Steve got to him.Impressive display. In the second half there were high hopes of a Duncan victory with their talisman Dave Beesty starting the second half. The banter was flying starting with the scoreboard with Steve's Dad on the one side but Beaton was in no laughing matter with a brutal display.Steve "Chubby" Williams gave a great performance being the first person to have darts at a double to beat Beaton. Then BDO sorry SDO number 1 Neil Southern was also dispatched without doing much wrong. It was up to a lad i think he was called Ryan to beat Beaton with a fanastic display which inc 3 tons. Then Derek "Budgie" Rogers played superbly to left 68 before Beaton's 22g Red Dragon darts shot him down. The Duncan B captain Dan Jones was going along nicely when he left himself 106 which he duly took out.Top shot It was the game everyone wanted to see Beaton against The Teenage Sensation Matt Price ,a cagey start from both players then it burst in to action but it was left to Matt to hit D12 with last dart to take the spoils. We left after 18 out of the 20 matches played Beaton had hit 10 180's and ave about 21 darts for a game of 701 not bad going. My thanks goes to Neil the landlord,Lee Davies ,Dave Beesty especially Dave Price and all the Duncans lads for a very enjoyable evening.
