Celebrate a Win – Right or Wrong ?
Whichever league you play in, respect is a massive part of our game. We shake hands before and after the game, wish our opponent the best of luck and then buy drinks after the game, all in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
The team of the winning player celebrate after the winning double is hit nobody seems to have a problem with that, but seems to be frowned upon if the player him/herself celebrates too enthusiastically.
Why is that?
Lack of respect for your opponent?
I don’t care how laid back you are, those 2 minutes after you lose, the loss is raw, so perhaps we all know how this feels and don’t celebrate out of respect to the other player.
I’m not saying do a “Van Gerwen celebration” but is it so wrong to cheers after winning a game?

As long as you don't celebrate in someone's face, or leave them waiting around for a handshake, you should be fine. Nobody's ever really been upset by me fist pumping and then hugging the whole team anyway.
I think things like being distracting, talking to other people mid-throw (at all on your own throw, or loudly on theirs), walking intentionally in awkward directions or at you, i.e. stuff that actually effects another player during the game, when it actually matters, are more offensive than a celebration when it's over. That's just a sign that beating you meant something; should be a compliment.
