Heathgates 4 bull b/row 4 We were 3-1 down and really struggling so chucked on 3 strong and were 4-3 up! Lack of players cost us a win but I'll take a point 1st game! George unlucky really went for wrong 2 dart lost 2-1 Sel played better than his opponent and won 2-1 Rob couldn't get started but more to come lost 2-0 Mike again couldn't get going but knows what's needed now lost 2-0 Chef played awesome 12 dart 2nd leg 120-41-27-113 to win 2-0 and great darts Then prob match of the night Geoff smith v me! I won the bull and couldn't get started Geoff in 1st dart and scoring! I struggled for 3 visits but Geoff let me off and I eventually was away with 40 soon followed up with 100-100 leaving 61! Geoff left 6 and I duely checked out 20 with my 3rd dart to lead 1-0! Started with 100 and never looked back to check out 40 and win 2-0! A notable scalp for me! More importantly 3-3 Claire the bottom Beddoes played next and performed admirably to win 2-1 and record at least a draw Duncan deuce Lewis on last playing jack Cheadle! Jack not played that well gave dunc 1st leg but settled in and dunc lost 2-1 and finish as a draw Great night! Real rusty darts but solid enough ready for the cup game!

Coach 4 - 4 Compasses Ditherington 'B'
This was a high quality local derby. There were close games right the way through the match. We were 3-1 down so very happy with a point although we did go 4-3 up. A decent finish of 95 in the final leg of the match clinched a point for the away side. A fair result on reflection.
A really enjoyable match played in a good atmosphere.

Monkmoor 6 bull 2 Sums our night right there! Was the watton show! Just a note to all teams I Watton never buys a drink if you beat him! Please I know it's unwritten rule but if I lost he would expect one bought! Let's not get this guy a drink he doesn't play by the Rules

Heathgates 'B' 4 - 4 Coach
Another enjoyable night of darts and a fair result. We aren't getting that bit of luck you need to win close matches. On a positive note we're still unbeaten. There was a decent 119 checkout by one of the Heathgates lads in a crucial leg.

Monkmoor 'A' 3 - 5 Coach
A great win for us. We went 2 nil up, then 3-2 down, but fought back well for the win. I finished well in my game. A superb finish of 92 from Jamie Pugh proved crucial in his game. Addy James finished 54 in unconventional fashion (treble 9, single 17, double 5) during his win. Mick 'Top Gun' Evans was as reliable as ever and a confidence boosting victory for Derek to seal the win.

Coach 6 - 2 Red Lion B/H
An enjoyable night of darts played in a good atmosphere. Wins for Jamie Pugh (128 checkout), Quinny, Derek, Walter, Mick 'Top Gun' Evans and Timmy. On a personal note I lost my first game of the season. In the second leg I hit a 180 to leave 70, and then bust it twice! It's a funny old game!
Another solid win for us and we remain unbeaten.

Just a quick run over of our results so far for Heathgates B. We are struggling with players this year. I have 12 signed on but because of other commitments we always have a side but it could be any 8 of the 12. Saying that we are still unbeaten in our first 6 games of the season but with 2 wins and 4 draws we need to strat picking up more points. Our first game was home against Bull B/Row and we kicked off with a 4-4, shame about the result after being 3-1 up and still having a strong back four who couldnt just get them two results. Terry and Geoff had the best game of the night, very close but Geoff struggled to be his best when needed and Terry punished him! Our second game was against the Steam Wagon and after they got stuffed 8-0 the week before they give us a good game. Going 3-0 up i thought this may be another 8-0 but they pulled one back. It went 4-2 before we got the win through Geoff Smith who played superb. Result ended in 5-3 win. Our third game was home against the Coach, this was a close game going 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2 before the Coach took the lead for the first time going 3-2 up. Putting on two of my better players we had the point in the bag at 4-3. There number 8 was experienced and played better than ours. Game of the night was mine against A.James. Close fought first two legs with big scores both hitting ton plus to leave ourselves finishes. The 3rd leg i just couldnt get going and with my oppenent having had 2 darts at tops i was left on 119 and thinking i might have a chance, single 19, treble 20 and tops all flow in. Was a good game and result was 4-4. Our forth Game was away at the thingy Inn and reformed side who they agree shouldn't have gone straight into this devision, 4 players having there first season. we went 3-2 up and never looked back bagging the last 3 games and winning 6-2. Some good darts thrown by there captain D. Manning who won 2-0. Our fifth game was against the Peacock who had a strong side. This game could of gone either way but once again we couldnt get the win at the last hurdle again going 3-2 down to the 4-3 up and losing the last game. Special mention to C.Davies who did hit a superb 9 darter! 120-84-97. Result 4-4. Our sixth game was against Three Fishes B/Hill and agian this could have gone either was but we probably should of won it. 2-2 after the first 4 and we had a strong back 4. 3-2 up and Geoff Smith went on but again one of his off night but well played J.Davidson who, with Geoff left on 40, hit 120 to leave 60 putting Geoff under pressure, not taking it out, J.Davidson didn.t need a second chance. Once AGAIN!!! we were 4-3 up and our player was throwing superb darts, Irene Price, but in the 3rd leg she just couldn't get out, a game she should of won 2-0 was a 2-1 lose. I had a very close game with D.Harris, both of us unbeaten before this game and i went 1-0 down and a solid first leg which i was nowhere to be seen. Both getting off quick and scoring 81's, tons, and 85's we both left ourself a finsh. D.Harris couldn't take out the 81 he left himself leaving tops. I had 92, hitting treble 20 i then hit double leaving a small gap for the other but it flow in to make it 1-1. Third leg and again some heavy scoring and a cracking finish to the game. Both hitting ton plus's to leave doubles, he didn't need three darts to take it out. Another night, another player we would have both won 2-0 happily.
We just need to get over that last hurdle and start winning from 4-3.
Our results so far are.. Heathgates 'B' 4 - 4 Bull B/Row Steam Wagon 3 - 5 Heathgates 'B' Heathgates 'B' 4 - 4 Coach Dith thingy Inn 2 - 6 Heathgates 'B' Heathgates 'B' 4 - 4 Peacock Three Fishes B/Hill 4 - 4 Heathgates 'B'

Coach 4 - 4 Rock 'B'
A fair result on the night. Wins for Walter, Mick 'Top Gun' Evans, myself and performance of the night from my brother. We were 2-0 down and then 3-1 down, so very pleased with a draw.
A good point against a team that will surely finish towards the top of the table.
A competitive game played in good spirit.
We're still unbeaten.

Comp 'A' 2 - 6 Coach
This was a much anticipated fixture. Not only was it a local derby, the only two remaining unbeaten teams in the division met.
We needed a good start and we got it. Derek was up against Elcapitano. He fought back from 1-0 down to win. Jamie then played Kieran Walker and played well to win. It was my turn, up against Gerry Hughes. I started well to get down to a double but couldn't finish. Gerry stepped in to finish 78 in clinical fashion on tops (he turned to me and said he hated tops, thanks for that Gez!). The second leg was an exact replica of the first. I couldn't hit the finishing double and Gerry stepped in to take it. In all honesty I've never thrown so many darts on the wire of doubles. Quinny was up against Adie Gardner and was unlucky, 2-2. Up stepped the form player in our team, my bro. He shaved the wire of double 14 for a 148 checkout. 3-2 up. Now it was the time for experience and you won't find any more darting experience than Walter, Timmy and Mick 'Top Gun' Evans. Walter played well to beat Rob 'Radiator' Morris. 4-2 up. Now it was up to the captain. John '1's and 5's' Hughes started well, regularly hitting tops during the leg. Now the captain came into his element. He drew level and then swiftly won the deciding leg. 5-3 up, get in there. Mick 'Top Gun' Evans was as steady as ever to beat Mickey Simmonds and round off a superb victory.

Don't include The Coach in "all division 2 teams". I was posting our results for the first couple of months and had virtually no feedback. That's why I don't bother now.
