Brick 6-2 Rock
Really happy with this result, the rock are obviously struggling but they have some top players, Hippo played brilliant to beat Paul Ashworth and then again with myself in the doubles in what was the best doubles match of our season. Nice to end the first half with a win and two more points.

As Neil has said the first round of matches has finished what would you change?
On a personal level it has been a shot in the arm for Shrewsbury darts playing 501. There has been some great darts seen and the feedback from the players has been superb.
There is a couple of points i would like to see the feedback of players weather they agree or disagree weather its in this year or next.We have a great league lets see if can improve it any more
My first point is the doubles i would like to see the doubles play 701 instead of 501 My second is also about the doubles i would like to play 3 singles ,one doubles ,3 more singles and the final doubles match instead having the 2 doubles matches at the end.
More teams have looked at Friday night darts and seen what a success it has been.Next year there could be 16 teams .A premier league and perhaps a championship league with 8 teams in each. With league winners and play offs to decide ups and downs of the league with bonus points for 1, highest checkout, 2, highest average and etc
Please if you have any thoughts or ideas tell Neil as THIS IS YOUR LEAGUE.

I quite like the doubles format as it is. 501 makes it feel more like a proper game to me, and having both at the end a) makes the last two matches, if they're important, seem like a proper team affair, and b) means the home team can switch off from doing the stats and just get on with actually supporting for the vital games.

Held our 1st meeting last night every team was represented. Excellent.
Made a few amendments.
Captains can now put down 1 name at a time on card instead of two.
Transfers are allowed for the next two weeks.
A Consolation Playoffs for team finishing 5-8
teams to raise £10 each for Annual trophy
Playoffs will be 6 singles 3 doubles with every team member have to of played a minimum of 5 league games.
Discussed distribution of prize money, finals night etc.
Entry forms for singles/doubles have been sent out back by 3rd dec. ALL venues will be used in competitions.
Really pleased with coverage in Chronicle.
Rest the same. Lets see how the second half goes.

Well done Neil on organising a great league. It can only getting bigger and better.
Such a good standard too which is good to see in Shrewsbury.
Without Neil this league would not run, so lets all help Neil the best we can with getting results cards to him and informing him of results/Averages before Sunday night so we can keep the Chronicle column going.
I also like the fact that all venues will be used for individual competitions. All teams/pubs put £50 entry fee at start of the season, so all pubs should be treated equally.

Duncan 4 Red Castle 4 Good point for us last night coming from 2 nil down to take a 4 2 lead in to the doubles to let it slip away again! Thanks to lee for a superb night tho Highlight of the night Sam Roberts 150 out(57 57 36) on his way to beating Beestie excellent even tho his reaction was a bit ott Also agree with all Lees comments on previous post, really enjoying this league the best night of darts by a long way

League Tables and Results updated. every team shouls now have singles and doubles entry forms. How does everybody feel about making the competitions best of 5 legs? The feedback Ive received is in favour of it? Special mention for two players from our game last night. Graham Wall who was superb in winning his singles and doubles, playing so well, also Rachel Williams Compasses who hit a 21.50 average V Matt Elsey and had a shot to win. EXCELLENT! 9 dart challenge Matt Elsey hit 379. 100-180-99. best score recorded. Im sure he was throwing a hedgehog.
